2021 Franz Sandner 3/4 size cello ~ SC-4 model
Price: £600
For sale, a good quality Franz Sandner ¾ size cello. My 12-year-old has played the instrument regularly for 2 years but now needs a full-size cello.
We bought the cello new in 2021 from Cambridge Strings, King Street, Cambridge (now closed) and it has been well-cared for. It was recently serviced and adjusted by an experienced local luthier to make it easier to play and tune, including lowering the nut and fitting it with a better tailpiece and fine tuners. We recently put on new Jargar Young Talent strings.
The cello has a solid spruce top with a slightly flamed maple back and ribs, and ebony fingerboard and pegs. It is in excellent overall condition with a few minor nicks from regular use, see pics. Also included:
- A new Franz Sandner ¾ size Brazilwood bow
- Gewa Pure Cello ¾ size padded case with wheels. Weighs 3.6kg.
- A stand to store the cello (pictured) and a music stand.
