Pietro Trimboli, Italy, 2001

Pietro Trimboli, a successor to the great Bolognese school, was a pupil in his youth of Otello Bignami, who was in turn a pupil of Gaetano Pollastri, a descendant of the prestigious school of Raffaele Fiorini. The characteristics of this great regional school of 20th-century Italy can be discerned in his instruments.
His work is imbued with the Bolognese style, the ingenuity and authenticity of which Pietro has perpetuated to the present day with skill and consistency.
