The Ulster Orchestra, along with their partners Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Shankill Children’s Zone and Queen's University Innovation Zones, are seeking experienced and qualified music tutors to be part of our flagship Crescendo Project. The partners’ vision is to improve outcomes for children through music.
The project aims to increase the resilience, aspirations and emotional development of children from areas of social and economic disadvantage through a programme of music skills development, to increase participants’ musical skills while contributing to their improved wellbeing and self-worth.
Situated in four schools in north and west Belfast, the project aims to deliver weekly workshops with P1-P3 classes to develop fundamental music skills and progress to learning orchestral instruments from P4-P7.
We are currently recruiting tutors in the following instruments:
- Violin/Viola
- Brass
There will be a range of hours available to suit the needs of the project, from approximately 3 hours to 10 hours a week.
