3rd Targu Mures International Conducting Competition
21 - 25 Sep, 2026
The competition was established in 2022 in cooperation with the National Philharmonic of Târgu Mureș.
The jury for the third edition is chaired by György G. Ráth (Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla), with David Crescenzi (Romanian National Opera), Franz Schottky (Munich Kammerphilharmonie), Laurențiu Muntean (Arad State Philharmonic), Levente György (Târgu Mureș State Philharmonic), and Prof. Csíky Boldizsár (honorary member) as jury members.
The prizes consist of €8,500 in cash plus six concerts in Europe.
The high standard of the competition is evident from the careers of its participants: the winner of the last edition, Italian musician Davide Trolton, now performs regularly with major symphonic institutions in Romania, Hungary, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
