REPERTOIRE:
Georges Bizet: Carmen – fully staged opera production
BASIC INFO:
- 2 days preliminary rehearsals with soloists and piano accompaniment
- 4 days of rehearsals with the orchestra and the North Bohemian Opera Ensemble – total 100 min. podium time for each participant
– fully staged opera performance shared among all participants of the masterclass
- professionally produced video recording of the final public rehearsal
A maximum of 6 participants will have the opportunity to follow the structure of professional theatre rehearsals under the guidance of Norbert Baxa. The process begins with rehearsals with soloists accompanied by piano and progresses to full rehearsals with the orchestra, chorus, and the entire ensemble. The highlight of the masterclass is a fully staged public performance conducted by the participants.
