Atso Almila's conducting masterclass 2026

Atso Almila's course is suitable for people who want to supplement their knowledge with orchestra conducting skills. The course provides preparation for hand motor skills, good conducting technique and ensemble practice through tasks of different levels.
In the course, the conductor's work is studied in a variety of ways. Teaching includes e.g. orchestra conducting theory, small group coaching, working with the Seinäjoki City Orchestra and analysis of videos taken from the work.
The course culminates to a final concert at Seinäjoki-sali onThursday 22.10.2026 at 18.00.
The course is jointly organized by the Sibelius Academy Conducting Department at the University of the Arts Helsinki and the Seinäjoki Unit of the University of the Arts Helsinki.
The course fee
650 € for active students / A reservation fee of 40% of the course fee will be invoiced in advance.
250 € for passive students and lecture attendees / The course fee will be invoiced after the course.
