Practical Conducting Workshops, Ireland

Practical Conducting Workshops(PCW), Ireland, directed by Robert Houlihan with pianist Dearbhla Brosnan offers a series of long weekend (Friday-Monday) conducting workshops These workshops offer participants the opportunity to have individual conducting lessons (approximately six 20-minute sessions per student per workshop) on core orchestral repertoire. As well as conducting technique, issues relating to score learning and aural training will be covered. Lessons are normally accompanied by the piano, although some instrumental participation may be possible.
The next PCW course will take place from 31st May – 3rd June, (4.30pm Fri.- 1pm Mon.) at the Irish Institute of Music and Song, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin K32YV56
